In our Eco-friendly environment we encourage
wildlife with nesting, shelter and food sources. We added a dozen more
birdhouses on the trails which are shared by a variety of birds-
swallows, wrens and bluebirds; more wildlife friendly plantings of
American High-bush Cranberry, Bottle Brush, Redozier Dogwoods and
Honeysuckle. More evergreens of Balsam, Blue Spruce and White Pine from
the Arbor Day Sale by the Soil and Water Conservation Dept of Delaware
County. We use all recycled paper products, energy efficient lighting
and will add more solar panels to our existing solar grid. We have
started a new beehive to replace the ones lost in the flood which will help pollinate our gardens and fruits.
